GLUCOLOG KIDS & TEENS DIABETES – APP

This application is a highly practical quick guide designed to provide support to children and adolescents with diabetes in various everyday situations.

Commissioned by A. MENARINI DIAGNOSTICS Srl, the project involved the development of a mobile application for four operating systems: Android, iOS, Windows Phone, and BlackBerry. The guide has been made available in 15 different languages.

The client required the app to:

• Ensure fast page loading without heavy graphical effects (as it may need to be accessed in emergency situations).

• Offer a simple and intuitive user interface with a pleasant user experience.

• Provide the ability, in case of emergency, to quickly dial a phone number pre-stored by the user within the app.

• Support and manage a large set of multilingual translations.

• Be developed natively for the four major mobile operating systems.

The application was developed in collaboration with Prof. Maurizio Vanelli, Full Professor of Pediatrics, President of the Society of Medicine and Natural Sciences of Parma, Editor-in-Chief of Acta Biomedica, and Pediatric Nutrition Expert at the University Sports and Exercise Medicine Center, University of Parma, Italy.

Additionally, the app allows users to store an emergency contact number, which can be dialed automatically by pressing the emergency button.

The application is available in 15 languages: English, Italian, French, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Dutch, Greek, Slovenian, Croatian, Swedish, Norwegian, Danish, Finnish, and Russian.
