NETDOCS – Document Digitization and Management for the Municipality of Rome

The NETDOCS project was commissioned by the Municipality of Rome (Department for Major Sports Events, Tourism, and Fashion). ACAPO acted as the main contractor for the Municipality of Rome, while DEV4U worked as a subcontractor, designing and developing the NETDOCS platform for the storage and retrieval of documents related to the Municipality’s sports facilities.

ACAPO S.C.S.I. is a Type B Social Cooperative that drives social innovation through the inclusion of disadvantaged people, providing services to public institutions and private companies.

As part of the project, ACAPO digitized the archive of the Department for Major Sports Events, Tourism, and Fashion of the Municipality of Rome, scanning hundreds of thousands of documents related to the city’s sports facilities (including tender specifications, maps, bills of quantities, resolutions, documents, faxes, photographs, emails, blueprints, and technical project documents).

DEV4U was responsible for designing and developing the web-based software for archiving, cataloging, and searching these documents.
